The first time I laid eyes on one of
Hayon's clever designs was in
Wallpaper magazine, around 2006!
I could not believe it when I saw this masterful range of bathroom pieces, starting with the piece which is essentially a sink, vanity, and lamp all in one moveable piece of elegant design. The traditional, refined, hand carved aesthetic of these pieces had never been seen before in bathroom ware.
The
AQ Hayon Collection featured a modern take on the tapered Louis leg. The freestanding bath with its ceramic compartments to hold anything from fruit, champagne, face washers to a floral specimen vase was a design revelation!
