Desirable Doors

Thanks to Jenn from Arcadian Home for these fab pics in her Guest Blog below.

I absolutely adore a vine covered wall as seen below in
'Flower Power' and 'Regal In and Out'!
And the 'Hot Pink' Mexi Tex vibe is to die for!!
I can almost see Frida Kahlo skipping down the step
 at this front door

 What's your favourite?

Hey there! I'm Jenn and I write for Arcadian Home Decor, which is an e-commerce website that specializes in top home decor ideas around the world.
I've been writing about home decor and interior design for more than a decade, and my own home is littered with antique table decor, mod home accessories, and other cherished items.

I draw inspiration from great home decor blogs, one of which is The Decorator, where the posts always boast great trends and beautiful finds. I'm really honoured to be guest posting here today - thank you for having me!

What's the first thing someone sees at a house? The front door, of course! The front door sets the whole tone for the home decor plan - glass and modern, it can dictate a minimalist interior, while a solid front door made of oak could suggest more classic home decor on the inside.

In bold colours and designs, here are eight extraordinary front doors.

A contemporary entryway

The wood slats of this striking front door looks even more modish with a solid stainless steel bar handle. The frosted glass and etched house numbers complete the whole look.

Turquoise

This shade of turquoise is oh-so-welcoming, and antiques such as side tables are interesting choices for exterior home accessories.

Wood and stained glass

A combination worthy of praise, these church-like extraordinary front doors are outfitted with an intricate stained glass motif and solid mahogany frame.

Inviting in red

They say red is a traditional choice for an inviting front door, and here, flanked by black and white exterior accents, it looks stunning.

Hot pink

Perhaps a more unconventional hue but nonetheless conversation-worthy, this extraordinary front door is surprising and stylish.

Flower power

Nestled amongst the climbing vines of red blossoms lies an antique front door in soothing mint green topped with a wrought-iron canopy - together the feel is romantic and arresting.
Black and white latticework

Regal in-and-out

This extraordinary front door is reminiscent of ornate vintage styles found in Europe - the detailing is absolutely remarkable.

Rustic

Like the massive front doors of a castle, these aged wood doors are partitioned  in a unique way, while the surrounding orange walls and potted plants provide a great frame.

Vintage Ikebana

Thinking about all the friends who are holidaying in my beloved Hawaii at this time of year.....

This wonderful vintage abstract Ikebana
with its white bleached coconut stamens and Chinese lantern berries...

somehow transported me to the memory of a Luau in front of the Royal Hawaiian circa 1978.....

I am calling it the
Abstract Hula

I am seeing wonderful arrangements of red Hawaiian hearts or Anthiriums
set against the pink of the 'Old  Lady' of Waikiki......

Aloha!
