Wearstler's new Blog Rocks!

Finally the blog we've all been waiting for!  From the decorator who inspires, and continues to push the envelope!  This girl knows colour so well and is always mining the design archives of the past in order to reinterpret and present it all in a new postmodern way.

It will be interesting to see the things that inspire her, not to mention check out her always wonderful, sometimes eccentric fashion choices!

Kelly Wearstler's new blog entitled MYVIBEMYLIFE has arrived.  Please enjoy some images from the first page!

Loving the pink snakeskin 80's boots!  Really pulls the pink out of the artwork!

Is that Cerulean blue??

I want to live in this Manhattan apartment!!!
Adore the Pedro Friedeberg inspired 'fork'

Wearstler triumphs at Viceroy Anguilla

No wonder Kelly Wearstler continues to be one of the defining taste makers of the day!

Her latest project the Viceroy Anguilla in the Caribbean, is again testament to her talent.

From being one of the driving forces in the revival of modernist maximalism in the early part of this decade, originally spearheaded in the '60's and '70's by the likes of such icons as
David Hicks and Albert Hadley, to now, Wearstler continues to impress.

Just adore those cane "Peacock" chairs in the Sunset Lounge

Love the neutral palette and choice of stone throughout.  A wonderful follow up to
Wearstler's own Malibu beach house featured in 'Hue'!

Architectural Digest Sings Under Margaret Russell's Fresh Eyed Approach

American Architectural Digest has been a legendary presence in design for so many decades.
I remember flicking through the stacks of these as a child that accumulated in my mother's home, from the late 1970's.

I remember thinking then...

" I want to live in a 'regal eagle's nest' in Manhattan, or perhaps a San Franciscan pied-a-terre,
or a Cape Cod beauty!   Maybe one of those floral wallpapered and coordinated drapery mansions from the Carolinas would be charming".

I never recovered from the desire to have a home which had an eclecticism about it.  A home which featured the beautiful things that one collected throughout life's travels.  A home which reflected the personality and style of its owner!  A home filled with interesting objects and art which tell a story.

Margaret Russell, former Editor in Chief of Elle Decor, has jumped on board of Architectural Digest, and the February issue does not disappoint!

From the wonderful navy blue lacquered walls of Todd Romano's Manhattan studio apartment, to the Washington DC townhouse featuring art deco, and modernist collections, to the dramatic scenery which surrounds the Preston Island Vancouver home of Canadian artist Martha Sturdy, to the clean modernist lines and artwork of a West Village pied-a-terre, to the stunning new mansion boutique of Ralph Lauren on the Upper East Side, this issue sings!

Thank you for making my heart skip a beat once again!

Please enjoy the following images from the February issue of Architectural Digest!
